Abstract:
This paper provides a detailed examination of Quantitative Risk Assessment and qualitative risk assessment, and it compares the advantages, disadvantages, and usefulness of each process. It describes why Quantitative Risk Assessment is becoming more commonly used in rotorcraft safety risk management; it concludes with an approach that would employ the best of both methods, and it provides resources for further study.
